This exquisite piece comes from the prestigious Hejefrosh workshop, which carries on the traditions of the court art of Isfahan—an ancient Persian capital—into the modern era.
It features a turquoise-blue field of captivating elegance. Evoking the Persian sky and the magnificent tilework of the World Heritage-listed Imam Mosque, this mystical hue adds a touch of refined splendor to a sophisticated interior. From the intricate central medallion, graceful floral arabesques—radiating a sense of living vitality—spread outward in perfect balance; the piece is crafted from carefully selected, top-quality wool and silk.
The design draws upon the lineage of Safavid dynasty (16th–18th century) court painting, featuring highly symmetrical floral arabesques. Stems and foliage curve fluidly from the central medallion toward the outer edges, giving rise to a profusion of blooming roses and lotus flowers—all rendered through the weaver's meticulous planning and masterful craftsmanship.
